AI Answer Content
AI Answer Content is the writing that gets your pages cited when buyers ask AI assistants a question.
We write and refresh question-led pages on your own domain: the direct answer first, then the statistics, customer quotes and sources an assistant can lift and check. It is the copywriting at the heart of the AEO Implementation Programme and the AEO Retainer.
An answer hub of 8 to 12 pages in the 90-day programme · 3, 6 or 10 pieces a month on the retainer

Why it matters
How do AI assistants choose which pages to cite?
They rewrite the buyer's question into several background searches and run them against a search index. Google's index serves AI Overviews, AI Mode and Gemini, Bing's serves Copilot, and Perplexity and Claude run their own. ChatGPT moved from Bing to OpenAI's own index in September 2026.
The assistant then reads the visible text of the top pages and cites a handful. You don't need to rank first for the head term. You need the clearest answer to the sub-questions.
Pages cited in a Google AI Overview get 120% more clicks per impression than uncited ones (Seer Interactive, April 2026).
The original GEO research found that adding statistics, quotations and sources lifted visibility by up to 40% (GEO paper, arXiv), but only in a lab where the page was already in front of the model. A July 2026 review of 45 studies found that gain does not reliably carry over to live AI search (Martinez, arXiv), so we add sources because buyers check them, never at the cost of a clear answer.
What we write
What kinds of pages do we write?
Six formats, chosen from your audit's zero-score prompts and the sources AI already cites in your category.

Question-led pages on your main domain
Pages of roughly 1,000 to 2,000 words, each built around one buyer question, with the direct answer in the first two sentences. They live on your main domain, not a news subdomain, so the answers build up where AI looks for you.
Statistics, quotes and sources
Every page carries specific numbers, a customer or expert quote and linked sources, so buyers and assistants can check what you claim. The "up to 40%" lift for these elements was measured in a lab, not in live AI search, so they support the answer and never bury it. We surface the proof you already have, often locked inside case studies, calculators and PDFs.
Comparison and alternatives pages
Honest "you versus them" and "alternatives to X" pages, with the year in the title and a real price for every option, yours included. Competitor names carry the questions buyers ask, and if you don't publish the comparison, a competitor or a retailer's blog will. You sign off every claim about a named competitor.
Category-definition content
Definition pages, checklists and benchmark data for the category you want to be known for. When buyers ask what the category is and who does it, assistants have your explanation to ground their answer on.
Specification data in HTML
Lambda values, U-values by build-up, fire class, certificate numbers, declaration of performance references and EPD summaries as readable page text, with PDFs kept as mirrors. It also prepares you for the product-data demands of the new EU Construction Products Regulation.
Compliance-safe health content
Pharmacist-authored condition hubs built around the Common Conditions Service, citing the HSE, using generic medicine names only, with a named pharmacist, PSI number and review date. Your superintendent pharmacist signs off every piece against HPRA rules and Article 90 of Directive 2001/83.
For pharmacy and health retail we also write SPF, skincare and beauty buying guides, and supplements content that uses only EU-authorised health claims. We never write promotional content for prescription-only medicines.
Freshness
Why do pages need refreshing?
Because AI assistants favour pages that are maintained. Seer Interactive found that 75% of 7,683 AI-cited pages had been updated within the last year. Over a quarter of those were first published two or more years earlier: they stayed current through real updates, not new dates (Seer Interactive, July 2026).

- Your top pages are reviewed at least quarterly, starting with the pages AI assistants cite month after month. In the programme that covers your top 15 pages.
- A refresh means new data and a new example, then a new date. A changed timestamp on its own does not count.
- When Search Console shows AI impressions rising on a page, we extend it first and link to it from newer pages.
- When AI impressions fall, that page is first in line for a refresh.
- When a competitor ships new comparison or category content, we publish a response or refresh within the month.
What we don't do
What won't we sell you?
Google's AI optimisation guide, updated on 10 July 2026, says AEO "is still SEO". We agree, and we don't sell tactics the evidence doesn't support.

Rewrite your copy "for AI"
Google's guide calls it unnecessary. Writing a clearer, more direct answer for people is a different thing, and it is the thing we do.
Chunk pages for machines
Google states that its systems understand pages covering several topics, so content chunking isn't required. We structure pages for readers, with clear headings, and leave it there.
Sell llms.txt files
An SE Ranking study of about 300,000 domains found no clear effect on AI citations (Search Engine Journal), and Google Search ignores the file.
Sell schema "for AI"
Ahrefs found no measurable effect on AI citations from adding schema markup (Ahrefs). We keep your structured data accurate and matched to the visible text, and put the budget into content and proof.
Our method
How is every page built?
The same discipline on every piece, whether it is new or a refresh.

It starts from a real question
Your audit prompts, Bing's grounding queries, Search Console's AI impressions, and what prospects ask your sales and support teams.
The answer comes first
A direct answer in the first two sentences, under a question-style heading. Follow-up questions go in a visible Q&A block: the visible text is what counts, and FAQ markup is optional.
The proof is on the page
Statistics, a customer or expert quote, and linked sources.
Machines can read it
Plain HTML text that crawlers can read without running JavaScript, with a visible updated date and a real byline linked to an author page.
It links up
Newer pages link to the pages AI already shows, so the strongest pages keep getting stronger.
It sounds like you
Irish or British English, in your voice, checked by your experts and approved by you before anything goes live.
How much is included
How much content do you get?
AI Answer Content is delivered inside the programme and the retainer, not sold as a separate package. Both are quoted from what your audit finds, and every fee excludes VAT.

In the Implementation Programme
Phase 3 runs from week 2 to week 12, alongside the reviews and PR work.
- An answer hub of 8 to 12 pages on your main domain
- Comparison pages with the year and prices on them, and alternatives pages
- Category-definition content
- Real updates, not new dates, on your top 15 pages
On the AEO Retainer
New or refreshed pieces each month, chosen from what the tracker and first-party data show.
- Core: 3 pieces a month
- Growth: 6 pieces a month
- Scale: 10 pieces a month, plus feed work
- 6-month first term, then rolling monthly
Common questions
Questions about AI Answer Content
What is AI answer content?
Pages written so AI assistants can find a clear answer, check it and cite it. Each page answers a real buyer question in its first two sentences, then backs it up with statistics, quotes and sources. It lives on your main domain and is refreshed on a schedule.
Can we buy AI Answer Content on its own?
It is delivered inside the AEO Implementation Programme (an answer hub of 8 to 12 pages in 90 days) and the AEO Retainer (3, 6 or 10 pieces a month, new or refreshed, depending on the tier). Every engagement starts with the AI Visibility Audit, which finds the content gaps.
How is this different from SEO copywriting?
Much of it is good SEO writing, and Google's own guidance says AEO is still SEO. The difference is the shape and the proof: the answer first; statistics, quotes and sources on every page; comparison and category-definition pages; a refresh cadence; and results measured across several AI assistants rather than one ranking.
How long are the pages?
Question-led hub pages usually run to roughly 1,000 to 2,000 words, with the direct answer first. Length follows the question: we don't pad pages to hit a word count.
Can you write pharmacy and health content safely?
Yes, inside a compliance workflow. Condition content is pharmacist-authored, cites the HSE, uses generic medicine names only, and shows a named pharmacist, PSI number and review date. Your superintendent pharmacist signs off every piece against HPRA rules and Article 90 of Directive 2001/83. We never write promotional content for prescription-only medicines.
How often do pages need refreshing?
We review your most important pages at least quarterly and update the ones the citation data says matter. Seer Interactive's July 2026 research found that 75% of AI-cited pages had been updated within the past year, and that they stayed current because they were maintained, not redated. A refresh means new data and a new example, then a new date, not just a changed timestamp.
Do you write llms.txt files or special versions of pages for AI?
No. Google's guidance, updated on 10 July 2026, says there is no need for llms.txt, chunking or rewriting content for AI, and an SE Ranking study of about 300,000 domains found no clear effect from llms.txt on AI citations. We write one version of each page, for people, in a shape machines can read.
Who writes the content?
Bryan Hurley leads the research, editing and publishing, and your subject-matter experts check every page before it goes live, which takes roughly an hour of their time per page. Everything is written in Irish or British English, in your voice.
Start with the audit
Which buyer questions is AI answering without you?
The AI Visibility Audit scores 30 to 50 buyer prompts across five assistants, maps your answer-content gaps and sets out the pages to write first. The fee is credited against the programme.
