Stage 2 of 3 · after the audit

AEO Implementation Programme

The AEO Implementation Programme is 90 days of hands-on work that puts your company into the answers buyers get from AI assistants.

We set up the accounts, fix the foundations, build the reviews, roundup places and press that AI trusts, and write the answer content. Your buyer prompts are rescored across ChatGPT, Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode, Copilot, Perplexity and Claude at weeks 4, 8 and 12, so you can see what moved.

Why it matters now

Why put 90 days into AI visibility?

Because the shortlist now forms inside the AI answer. 82% of B2B software buyers acted on a recommendation from an AI assistant in the last two years, and review sites and AI chatbots now shape the shortlist in equal measure (G2, July 2026). The winning vendor is on the day-one shortlist 95% of the time (6sense).

The audit shows where you stand. The programme does the work that moves it, in a fixed order: measurement first, quick fixes next, then the slower proof and content work, started early enough to show inside the window.

90 daysFour overlapping phases, starting in week 1. Measurement goes in before anything changes.
4 · 8 · 12The weeks your buyer prompts are rescored and a scorecard lands. Week 13 brings the before-and-after write-up.

The four phases

What happens in the 90 days?

Four phases that overlap on purpose. Reviews and roundup outreach have long lead times, so they start in week 2, alongside the first answer pages.

Weeks 1 to 4

Phase 0 · Baseline and instrumentation

Nothing ships until the before picture is captured in week 1, and the first four weeks of tracker data set the baseline. Without it, there is no honest before and after.

  • The AI visibility tracker set up with the prompts from your audit: each assistant tracked separately, each prompt run at least three times a period, mentions and citations counted apart
  • Search Console's Generative AI report, Bing Webmaster Tools AI Performance and GA4's AI Assistant channel baselined, with a custom channel for the assistants GA4 misses
  • A "How did you hear about us?" field in your CRM, with an AI assistant option
  • Screenshots of your roundup positions, your review counts and what each assistant says about you, so movement and accuracy can be proven
Weeks 1 to 2

Phase 1 · Foundations

Quick, high-certainty fixes go first, so everything that follows has a sound base.

  • Homepage machine identity: a first heading and first 100 words that say what you do
  • Sitemap completed and submitted to Google and Bing; IndexNow, Organisation markup, sameAs and Wikidata kept accurate as basic hygiene
  • Answer crawlers let in at robots.txt and at the CDN or firewall, tested bot by bot, with your key text in the HTML
  • Duplicate pages consolidated, and nothing important left on noindex or nosnippet
  • Retailers: a clean product feed, submitted to every AI shopping surface you are eligible for
Weeks 2 to 8

Phase 2 · Proof and presence

The work that gets others vouching for you. Earned media accounts for 84% of AI citations (Muck Rack, May 2026).

  • Outreach to the "best X" roundups AI already cites: the best-evidenced lever, and the spine of this phase
  • The review platforms your sector is judged on (G2 and Gartner Peer Insights for software, Trustpilot for retail), with a campaign for recent reviews
  • Category corrections, so review sites list you beside the right competitors, and a complete LinkedIn company page
  • Disclosed answers from named staff in the Reddit and forum threads that Google AI Mode and Perplexity cite
  • Awards, launches and numbers turned into trade-press stories
  • Two long-form YouTube explainers, with chapters and your brand in the title

Weeks 2 to 12

Phase 3 · Answer content

Pages on your own domain that answer the questions buyers put to AI, then kept fresh.

  • An answer hub on your main domain: 8 to 12 pages in the 90 days, each with a visible Q&A block and a real byline
  • Comparison pages with the year in the title and prices on the page, and alternatives pages
  • Category-definition content
  • Real updates, not new dates, on your top 15 pages, in the order the citation data sets

Account setup

What account setup do you do for us?

The accounts and tools AEO depends on, set up, verified and connected by us. Retail and multi-location items apply where they fit your business.

  • Bing Webmaster Tools, including the AI Performance report and its grounding queries
  • Google Search Console and its Generative AI report
  • GA4's AI Assistant channel, with a custom channel group for the assistants it misses
  • Your AI visibility tracker workspace: Peec AI by default, or HubSpot AEO if you already run HubSpot Marketing Hub
  • Vendor accounts on the review platforms your sector is judged on: G2, Gartner Peer Insights, Capterra or Trustpilot
  • Your Wikidata item, as basic hygiene
  • Google Merchant Center with free listings on, and Microsoft Merchant Center (retail)
  • The OpenAI product feed and Perplexity's merchant programme, where you are eligible (retail)
  • A Google Business Profile for each branch, plus Apple Business Connect and Bing Places (multi-location)
  • YouTube channel hygiene
  • Your LinkedIn company page, and product pages where you have them

The tracker is bundled into the price, not rebilled. Your tracking history is yours: on exit, you get it as a CSV and Looker Studio export.

Your side of the work

What do we need from you?

A good share of AEO depends on things only you have: customer relationships, system access and subject knowledge. Agreeing them up front keeps the programme moving.

  • Access. Search Console and GA4 (read), Bing Webmaster Tools, your CMS or a review-and-approve workflow, read access to CDN or firewall settings, and 30 days of server logs where you have them. Retailers add Merchant Center.
  • A named owner. One person who can approve changes and chase internal input. The review campaign is the item most likely to slip without one.
  • Customer contacts for reviews. Reviews have to come from real customers, so the list comes from you, along with permission to quote customers by name.
  • Subject-matter input. Roughly an hour of an expert's time per answer page, to check the facts and add what only you know.
  • Sign-off for regulated and sensitive content. In pharmacy, your superintendent pharmacist approves every piece against HPRA rules and Article 90 of Directive 2001/83. In any sector, you approve claims about named competitors before a comparison page goes live.

Realistic expectations

What results should you expect, and when?

First measurable movement typically shows around month three. Head terms, the "best [category]" questions every competitor wants, take six to twelve months. Brand questions, and niche questions you already own, usually move first.

Citation patterns are volatile

Platforms re-weight their sources without notice. In August 2026 ChatGPT sharply cut how often it cited Reddit within a week, while Google moved the other way and started quoting forums in AI Overviews.

Answers are samples, not rankings

In SparkToro's tests, the chance of ChatGPT or Google's AI giving the same brand list twice was under 1 in 100 (SparkToro). So we report visibility as a percentage across many runs, on 4-week rolling averages, never a single screenshot or an "AI rank".

Trends need time to settle

Model updates move numbers overnight, so the first four weeks of tracker data are the baseline, and no uplift is claimed against a shorter period.

Correlation, stated honestly

We can show a controlled before and after. We can't prove cause, and when a platform change explains a swing, we say so.

By sector

How does the programme change by sector?

The four phases stay the same. What goes into them depends on how your buyers choose.

B2B software

Reviews, roundups and comparisons

Climbing the roundups AI already cites, G2 and Gartner Peer Insights in the right category with a review campaign, a complete LinkedIn company page, an answer hub on the main domain, honest comparison, pricing and alternatives pages, and long-form YouTube explainers.

Building products

Technical data AI can read

Crawler access first. Then specification data in HTML (lambda, U-values, fire class, certificates, declaration of performance, EPD summary) with PDFs kept as mirrors, Part L and NZEB explainers, comparison content, Merchant Center and local inventory feeds, a Google Business Profile per branch, and rebrand clean-up.

Pharmacy and health

Feeds, branches and compliance

Merchant Center feed quality and a product ratings feed, your PSI registration and Internet Supply List entry visible, a complete Google Business Profile per branch, pharmacist-authored condition hubs, and SPF and skincare buying guides, each signed off by your superintendent pharmacist.

More detail for each sector is on the industries page.

One path, three stages

Where does the programme fit?

Every client starts with the audit. The programme delivers the audit's 90-day plan. The retainer keeps it moving.

01 · Diagnose

AI Visibility Audit

Ten working days. A baseline panel of 30 to 50 buyer prompts scored across five assistants, a technical, on-site and off-site baseline, and a phased 90-day plan. A fixed one-off fee, standard or extended.

About the audit

02 · Implement (this page)

Implementation Programme

Ninety days of account setup, fixes, third-party proof and answer content, rescored at weeks 4, 8 and 12. One fee for the 90 days, quoted from your audit.

03 · Sustain

AEO Retainer

Fresh content, tracking, reviews, roundups, PR and launches, every month. A monthly fee set by tier, on a 6-month first term, then rolling monthly.

About the retainer

Checkpoints

What happens at weeks 4, 8, 12 and 13?

We rerun the same buyer prompts with the same method each time, so every scorecard compares like with like. Each assistant is reported separately, with mentions and citations as separate numbers.

Week 4

First rerun and scorecard

The panel is rerun against the baseline. Early scorecards lean on leading indicators (pages shipped, reviews collected, roundup positions, Bing indexation), because presence and citation rates move more slowly. Direction is adjusted on what actually moved.

Week 8

Second rerun and scorecard

Content priorities are reset from Bing's grounding queries and Search Console's AI impressions. Review and roundup work is aimed at the sources the assistants actually cite.

Week 12

Third rerun and scorecard

The final rerun at the end of the working window, with the same prompts, the same method and the raw answers kept, so any claim can be traced back to the text it came from.

Week 13

The before-and-after write-up

The baseline, what we did, what moved in the tracker and in your first-party data, what did not move, what we could not attribute, and the recommended next step.

Between checkpoints you get a short written update each week: what shipped, what's blocked and what's next. We are currently working with a Waterford-based B2B SaaS company on a 90-day AEO programme, with a public before-and-after case study planned.

How it is priced

What does the programme cost?

One fee for the 90 days, paid in three monthly instalments and excluding VAT. We quote it from the 90-day plan in your audit, because scope is the only thing that moves it. You get the figure at the audit readout, in writing, before any work starts.

Lower end

B2B, single market

One brand in one market, such as a B2B software or services company. No product feeds, one set of listings.

One brand
Upper end

Ecommerce or multi-branch

Retailers with product feeds to manage, and merchants or pharmacies with a listing for every branch. Both add real hours.

Feeds and branches
Fully credited

Your AI Visibility Audit fee is credited in full against the programme if you sign within 60 days of the audit, so the diagnosis costs you nothing when you go ahead. See what each stage includes, or book the audit and we will quote the programme from what it finds.

Common questions

Questions about the Implementation Programme

What is the AEO Implementation Programme?

A 90-day programme of hands-on answer engine optimisation (AEO) work. It runs in four phases: baseline and instrumentation (weeks 1 to 4), foundations (weeks 1 to 2), proof and presence (weeks 2 to 8) and answer content (weeks 2 to 12). Your buyer prompts are rescored at weeks 4, 8 and 12, and you get a before-and-after write-up at week 13.

How much does it cost?

One fee for the 90 days, excluding VAT, paid in three monthly instalments. We quote it from the 90-day plan in your audit, because scope is what moves it: a B2B company with a single brand is the smallest version of the job, and ecommerce with product feeds or a multi-branch business is the largest. You get the figure at the audit readout and in writing before any work starts. Your AI Visibility Audit fee is credited in full if you sign within 60 days of the audit.

Do we need the AI Visibility Audit first?

Yes. Every programme starts from an audit. Its baseline panel is the before picture, and its phased 90-day plan sets the scope. The audit is a fixed one-off fee in two sizes, standard and extended, and the fee is credited in full against the programme.

When will we see results?

First measurable movement typically shows around month three. Head terms usually take six to twelve months. Citation patterns are volatile, so we report visibility as a percentage across many runs on 4-week rolling averages, never a single screenshot.

What do you need from us?

Access to Search Console, GA4, Bing Webmaster Tools and your CMS; a named owner on your side; customer contacts for the review campaign; roughly an hour of expert input per answer page; and sign-off for regulated content and for claims about named competitors.

Will this replace our SEO agency?

No. Google's guidance, updated on 10 July 2026, says AEO is still SEO, and we agree: the foundations are SEO. We do the parts an SEO retainer usually doesn't cover (reviews, roundups, PR, feeds, entity work and measurement across several AI assistants), and we work alongside your SEO agency.

What happens after the 90 days?

The week-13 write-up sets out the recommended next step. The AEO Retainer carries the work on with fresh content, tracking, reviews, roundups and launch support, on a 6-month first term, then rolling monthly. AI sources shift often, and pages that aren't refreshed tend to lose citations (Seer Interactive), which is why the work continues.

Can you guarantee results?

No. AI answers are samples that change from run to run, and platforms re-weight their sources without notice. What we commit to is the work in the plan, a consistent measurement method, and an honest write-up, including what did not move.

Who does the work?

Bryan Hurley leads every programme. He has more than ten years in web development and a background in tech and education. HelloWorld is a solo studio, so you deal directly with the person doing the work, and we take on a small number of clients at a time.
